As the Citybikes boycott progresses, Rose City Antifa is committed to supplying anti-racists with resources about what antisemitism is and the importance of opposing it. Regarding Citybikes President Tim Calvert, we have transcribed part of Calvert’s September 2011 speech and have noted some of this speech’s antisemitic aspects. In particular, we would like to draw attention to Calvert’s promotion of John Coleman, a propagandist who used to write for the white supremacist Christian Defense League. A recording of Calvert’s speech is available online--anyone who has watched the recording will note the importance Calvert places upon Coleman’s “Tavistock” conspiracy theory.

We have also just uploaded a lightly-edited audio file of Spencer Sunshine's "Left Antisemitism: Building Bridges to the Right?" presentation at the Anti-Racist Action Conference in Portland, July 25, 2010. While the presentation is from one presenter at our 2010 conference and does not represent Rose City Antifa, we think that the presentation is a good starting point for those thinking through issues of antisemitism and the Left.
*In his presentation, Spencer Sunshine states that Valdas Anelauskas spoke at Laughing Horse Books. Rose City Antifascists wish to clarify that whereas Laughing Horse was to be the original venue for Anelauskas' speech, the book store cancelled the event upon learning of its nature. The event happened at an alternate venue.
Rose City Antifa will issue its own statement about what antisemitism is and why it should be opposed over the next week.
